By train from Prague:
Trains from Praha Hlavni nadrazi, hl. n. (Prague Main Station) to Ostrava Hlavni nadrazi, hl. n. (Ostrava Main Station) - several providers (Ceske drahy, Leo Express, RegioJet).

By train from Ostrava-Mošnov Airport Leos Janacek:
Regular trains to Ostrava, hl. n. (Ostrava Main Station) or coaches to Ostrava UAN (Central Bus Station).
Then from Ostrava Hlavni nadrazi, hl. n. you can use regular public transport: Trolleybus line No. 102, 108 to Husův sad station.

The Husův sad station is on the Českobratrská street where hotel Mercure is situated, it's about 3 minutes' walk (opposite direction as the trolleybuses are going) from Husův sad station - still going ahead you will arrive hotel Mercure.
From the Ostrava, UAN coach station you can use Trolleybuses from the Namesti republiky station which is accessible through an underground walkway from the Ostrava, UAN coach station. There take Trolleybuses No. 103, 104. to Husuv Sad station.
From the Husuv sad station you can go ahead (same direction as the trolleybuses are going) and cross the Ceskobratrska street, still going ahead you will arrive hotel Mercure.
The public transport in Ostrava is quite on time so you can plan your travel ahead. Or use Google Streetview to see and follow the instructions before you actually arrive.
