About study programme
Bachelor degree in International Economic Relations offers a study focused primarily on the international dimension of economic theory and economic relations, allowing graduates to orientate themselves in economic affairs on an international scale and to find practical application, not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. In addition to the basics of economic theory and economic policy, students focus on issues related to globalization, international trade, world security, economic integration at regional, European and international level, and project and grant management. Students can further expand their knowledge through internships at foreign universities or gain work experience at home and abroad (e.g. in EU institutions).

Graduates of the degree course International Economic Relations can, beyond the professional skills gained in the joint study program of Applied Economics, solve practical problems and use basic research procedures in the form of:
• understanding the basic theoretical laws and the ability to apply them in practice, taking into account current developments in the European Union and the world economy,
• ability to orientate in data and analyse problems in individual areas of expertise including design solutions and implementation plan,
• a solution of business cases with respect to the export/import and investment interests of the company or the state,
• the use of various forms of business support by the Czech Republic and the EU.
Graduate's general competence
Graduates of the degree course International Economic Relations are able, in accordance with the general competencies gained in the joint foundation of the Applied Economics study program:
• to prepare and implement development projects co-financed from public sources at regional, national and international level independently and in a team,
• to use their expertise, skills and competencies in at least one foreign language,
• to acquire further professional knowledge, skills and competencies on the basis of practical experience and its evaluation, as well as by the independent study of the theoretical knowledge of study specialization.
