Title
Multi Objective Optimization Application in Flexible Manufacturing and Project Scheduling Problems: Theory and Applications
Code
GA18-15530S
Summary
In this project, we aim to develop new multi objective mathematical modeling to accommodate the existing assumptions and conditions of the real cases of flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) and the resource constraint project scheduling (RCPSP) problems. To validate the mathematical formulations and proposed models, we will apply an exact method such as epsilon constraint or CPLEX to find the global optimal solutions in small-sized problems. Then as FMSs and RCPSPs belong to the class of NP-hard problems, we would like to apply meta-heuristics to tackle the mathematical model solving large sized problems. In this stage, to measure the reliability of the proposed algorithms, initially, the comparison metrics are designed and then the affecting parameters of algorithms will be tuned through Taguchi or RSM methods. Eventually, multiple attribute decision making methods (MADM) will be applied to prioritize the implemented algorithms in terms of the designed metrics.
