In developing the How to Create a COIL Course Guide, an effort will be made to include activities that will support the development of following competencies that are in line with the DeSeCo project (OECD2019):
- Use tools interactively: the ability to use language, symbols and text interactively, the ability to use knowledge and information interactively.
- Interact in heterogeneous groups: the ability to relate well to others, the ability to co-operate, to manage and resolve conflicts.
- act autonomously: the ability to act within the "big picture", the ability to form and conduct life plans and personal projects, the ability to assert rights, interests, limits and needs.
